LIQMET Liquid Metals was founded in 2003 in Australia. We now supply our liquid metals to over 30 countries around the world.

BEGINNING - 2001

It all started in 2001 when we had the idea to simplify the casting process for bronze statues. There was a need to make a material that was strong enough, easy to use, affordable, and looked like real metal. After a couple of years of research and experimentation, the coatings were created, and a patent was obtained.

2003

When creating liquid metals LIQMET, it was important for us that using our material would not require a lot of experience, expensive equipment and tools. With our non-toxic liquid metals, it is possible to create a metal surface in any conditions, with minimal skills and a minimum set of tools, even at home. And at the same time, a surface quality that matches real casting can be achieved.

We manufacture liquid metals in two different viscosities. If our client does not have special professional skills (e.g. painting with a spray gun or sprayer), they can still use our metals. For example, the ‘brush’ viscosity can be applied with any simple tool (brush, spatula or regular roller) and obtain a unique metallic finish.

With our best liquid metals, you can save money and complete a project from start to finish without needing to contact a liquid metal applicator. You can become one yourself.

Our metals can also expand the range of finishes that your business offers.

Or you can create a new product using our metals —for example, metallic doors or panels.

We manufacture the best liquid metals in Australia and sell them worldwide. We currently have distributors in Germany and New Zealand, and we have numerous applicators in countries around the world. We are open to discussing distributorship in your country.

WHAT IS LIQMET LIQUID METAL COATING?

LIQMET is a unique and unequaled decorative metal coating system, the result of three years of research and development. LIQMET is an Australian made product and a registered trademark. This system replaces traditional casting for sculptures and other kinds of 3D-object manufacturing. Our metal coating technology allows the use of 3D models made from cheap substrates like timber, plastic, MDF, and even foam. Only 1mm of LIQMET cold-spray decorative metal coating applied onto any substrate gives a solid cast metal look.
Another goal we wanted to achieve was to avoid dangerous materials. It took us six months to develop and test different polymers. As a result, we don’t use polyester resin in our manufacturing process. Our decorative metal coatings don’t have any smell and can be applied without special safety equipment.

PART A - A LIQUID METAL

PART B - A HARDENER.

Only 10% of the hardener required for 1kg/2.20 pounds of Part A. 10% of the hardener added to the metal allows to polymerize(dry) material during 16-24 hours at room temperature.
All 16 metals and alloys and a graphite manufactured in 2 viscosities: SPRAY and BRUSH. Different viscosities allow to apply metal with unlimited thickness from 0.25 mm up to 10 cm or more without settling and cracks.
Also we manufacture a fire-retardant range of decorative metal coatings for a surfaces where very high temperatures involved.
